Compared with traditional charge pump solutions, the Single-Inductor Bipolar Output (SIBO) converter architecture delivers high efficiency in a compact footprint while offering dynamically adjustable OVSS to extend battery life. By generating dual-polarity outputs from a single inductor, our patented SIBO architecture enables efficient power delivery and longer battery performance in space-constrained designs.

As shown in the figure below, Bravotek’s power solution eliminates the need for an additional charge pump circuit to generate negative voltage, thereby removing the required external capacitors and reducing PCB size.

Unlike traditional power solutions that generate negative voltage through a charge pump circuit—where optimal power conversion efficiency is achieved only near a fixed negative output voltage—Bravotek’s power solution allows output voltage adjustment via the SWIRE pin. This SIBO architecture maintains high and stable conversion efficiency across the entire negative voltage regulation range.

As a result, Bravotek’s solution dynamically delivers the optimal negative voltage level according to varying brightness requirements, significantly reducing AMOLED display power consumption. It is the ideal solution for optimizing both power supply size and display power efficiency.
